The sefd fits:

Calibration data for lband wide was taken dec17-jun18 (after hurricane maria).    Frequency data was taken at: (1155,1310,1375,1415) and (1415,1550,1610,1666). sefd curves were then computed fitting for sefd as a function of za. Fits using azimuth terms were also done, and are included for comparison (the installed curves are are the za only fits).  The fitting function (with za in degrees) is:

g(za)=c0 +c1*za + c2*(za-14)^2 +c3*(za-14)^3
where the ^2 and ^3 terms are only applied for za ge 14 degrees.
There were a total of 8373 measurements over all frequencies.

The plots show  the sefd fits vs za with the fit residuals (.ps). (.pdf) :

1415 MHz has twice the measurements for the fits since it was included in both frequency groups.

Note: The fits using za and az terms (.ps)  (.pdf) are available for comparison. They are not the curves being used.
the new curves are valid 21sep17 -> xxx

Comparing the PreMaria, postMaria sefd curves.

The PreMaria and postMaria sefd curves were evaluated at za2..19 degs za and then compared in the plots below:

Summary:

The idl routines sefdget() or corhsefdget() will now return the lbw sefd for data after 20sep17  using these fits. The coefficients can be found in the ascii file  data/sefd.datR5 (this is provided in the AO idl distribution). You can also find a copy of the coefs  here
A description of the fitting functions are available at : a description of the sefd curves
