Step 4: Installing the Cabling

Connect a cable for each analog signal your application requires to the Model 71861 XMC front panel SSMC socket receptacles. These are labeled IN 1, 2, 3, and 4: one for each ADC input channel. The other cabling you install on the Model 71861 XMC front panel depends on how you want to handle timing and synchronization (see Timing and Synchronization). Multiple boards can be synchronized via the 26−pin sync bus connectors (SYNC) using a ribbon cable. Systems requiring more synchronized channels can be supported with the Model 7190 Clock Synthesizer.
