Engineering at the Arecibo Observatory

Jon Hagen Sixto and González from the Arecibo Observatory will give a short presentation on the Arecibo Observatory and the scientific and engineering work done there. They will be then be available to talk to students interested in full-time or summer jobs in electronics at the observatory.

Electronics at Arecibo includes design and maintenance of

low-noise microwave receivers, digital signal processors,

optical instrumentation, high power transmitters, microwave components, and servo systems for motion control.
