Introduction (top)

• driftscan mode (usually at the meridian)
• 327 receiver
• puppi backend, 68.75Mhz Bw, 2816 channels, 81.92 usecs dump time.
• 3600 sec  scans. (4+ files with 28Gb/file).
• An observation will loop nseq times on the 3600 sets.

A subset of the data is used to make dynamic spectra:

•  The first 100 rows of each fits file (2.68435 secs/row)  is extracted.
• an average spectrum is computed for each row (2.68 sec avg spec).
• this gives 4*100 spectra/3600sec  scan/seq.
• Each scan is flatfielded separately (using the median bandpass).
• The sets of 400 avg spectra are then  combined into 1 image for the  sequence of scans.

• 58423 is the modified julian date for the observation
