Intro
Crosses were done on 3C461 on 09sep21 for the
pointing model (
more info). 2d
gaussfits were done to each cross. From the fits, the SEFD was
computed. Normally stokesI (polA+B) are used for the sefd. this
page plots the sefd for polA and polB separately to check that
both polarizations give similar values.
The plots
show the sefd for polA and polB
(.ps) (
.pdf)
- Top: srcDeflection/Tsys vs elevation
- black is polA, red is polB
- middle: srcDeflection/Tsys vs azimuth
- bottom: Sefd_polA/Sefd_polB vs elevation
- at higher elevations the sefdPolA is about 3%
higher than polA.
SUMMARY
- Ration sefdA/sefdB is about 1.03
- So Tsys/gain is 3% higher for polA than polB
- both polarizations seem to be working the same.
Note:
- 30nov21.. prior to this date i had the labels polA,B
reversed.
- It is now corrected to show that PolB is 3% better than
polA..
